Well, it’s a loyalty card for people who live, work or study within a half mile radius of the centre of the Covent Garden Market Building. To find out if you’re eligible, check this Covent Garden map.
The card, which has just been launched recently, grants various cardholders-only discounts at fashion and food shops around Covent Garden along with free gym membership trials and the promise of lots more goodies to come.
A quick perusal of participating area businesses reveals an impressive list of retail therapists and eateries. A few on the list that got me giddy (yes, I already have my own card) are Original Penguin, L’Occitane, London Graphic Centre, Charles H Fox and Hope and Greenwood. Most participants are offering discounts of 10% but There are even a few market stalls involved that are will honour the card with discounts to cardholders. These include Eliza’s Sweetie Stall, Mark Tabbener’s art prints and Zara Design. In all, there are more than 60 retailers signed up with more expected in the near future. Cardholders also receive a monthly email newsletter which is to exclusive offers on occasion along with updates on the entertainment, events, competitions, store and restaurant openings and general Covent Garden tips. To apply for your card, bring your ID to Covent Garden’s Information Office, at 41 The Market Building, Central Avenue, next to L’Occitane. Alternatively, if you work in the area, you can just ask your Human Resources department get in touch and they’ll arrange cards for everyone in your organisation. Nice.
