Oh You Lucky Bloggers Launch at Planet Hollywood
Last night, the best of British bloggers assembled at Planet Hollywood for a bit of wine and a few nibbles.
If you look closely, you might spot Matt from Londonist and Heather on her travels, the Cult Beauty bloggers, as well as Marko from labs.

The event was also a preview of a major research piece by The Future Foundation into the future of travel and Judith is pictured here telling us about some of the initial key findings. It’s fascinating stuff.
It was great to have a real mix of bloggers and representing travel was one half of Happytimeblog Georgie (see photo below), Europealacarte and Heather on her Travels.
People came from all over the UK, and that includes TheatreJunki who made it all the way from Liverpool so well done to him.
Here’s one of the London-based bloggers, Sian Meades who is a bit of a blogger extraordinaire as she writes for DomesticSluttery and also contributes to Topsee and of course guest posts here too.
As hostess for the evening, I was pretty busy and really delighted at the turnout – that’s me grinning in the piccie. I especially want to thank Planet Hollywood for supporting the event and also giving us a great raffle prize. A big hug also to AKA which donated 6 pairs of theatre tickets to fabulous shows like Oliver!, HAIR, War Horse and Woman in Black. That’s enough to keep me feeling me pretty happy all night!
By now you’re familiar with our Oh You Lucky Bloggers top 50 travel and lifestyle blogs about good stuff. You may have even noticed that here on our blog we have a number of great new bloggers adding to our wealth of posts. We love bloggers because they’re so passionate about what they do and they share their experiences through words, images and video in a very creative and individual way.
Last night was time to bring many of our favourite bloggers all together and celebrate the launch of our Oh You Lucky Bloggers social media community. And what better way to do it than in true social media style with a Meet Up.
We had a great event in the 007 themed Bond room at Planet Hollywood attended by the top bloggers in travel, beauty, theatre, days out and restaurants and many other subject specialisms.
And of course, when a great night has been had by all, there’s no better way to round it off than with a goodie bag.

Nice photo of you Eva. Thanks for organising the event, it was a great opportunity to meet up with lastminuters such as Marco who demonstrated the Google visual search to me using his beer bottle and other bloggers from such as Londonist and Domestic Sluttery.
It was a pleasure meeting you, Eva, and a loss that we couldn’t speak more. At least now that Andy Bargery introduced us, we can catch up at the next blogger event

I was gutted not to be able to make it – I had an engagement that I just couldn’t move. However, if there is another similar event some time, I will certainly do my best to go.
We will be running more events Jake, welcome to the OYLB community as well. Eva
Eva – rail journey back to far reaches of north east England went smoothly and I was well sustained by my breakfast at the Park Grand Hotel.
Gutted I couldn’t make it. Looks amazing! x
