For the latest trip to Egypt, things were going to be a bit more exciting as I was going to spend some of the holiday with some journalists from The Daily Star and The Daily Mail who were keen to interview me on my experience so far, as well as experience it for themselves!
Arriving at the huge Makadi Palace resort there were two things that really stood out. First was the actual size of the hotel complex. It is almost like a huge Arabic style maze! The second thing was the heat: having been to Vegas and Dubai over the past month you would think that I would be used to the hotter climates by now but the heat in Egypt is something else, However, the conditions were definitely perfect for topping up my tan.
My first full day in Egypt was spent planning out all the different excursions that I wanted to do in my week here. There was so much to choose from it took a good hour or so to finally decide! That evening we decided it would be apt to venture into the nearest city, Hurghada and sample the local nightlife. Knowing that we had to be up to leave for our trip to Luxor at 5.30am you would have thought that a quiet night with a few beers would have been sufficient. Not for this group! Needless to say, we rolled back into our delightfully comfortable rooms at the Makadi Palace a lot later than originally planned!
