I know we’ve said this before but I’m going to say it again – one person is going to have one heck of a Summer this year as our first official Globe Trotter. We have had a fair few applications in so far and with only eight days left until the closing date, the pace is hotting up.

As you know, last night I went to the London Bloggers Meetup and there was a great deal of excitement about this role among the guests. Thanks to Andy for organising the event and thanks to everyone for having such a great time and being so friendly. It was also great to meet Edd from Phileas Blog who gave out some good tips on how to make your copy blogtastic when you travel.

Here’s some of the lovely people I met yesterday enjoying a beer on us.

We also gave out a few goodies – a choice of lastminute.com experiences – to three lucky guests and pictured here is one of our winners, the delectable Ruthy who I had a great chat with last night.

It’s a great time to be a blogger – especially this Summer.
