Hackday 09 – the 24 hour mash up free for all

Hackday is a pretty big deal for here as it’s the lastminute.com 24-hour-non stop event to hack something new. Participants can work on their own, or in teams, they can build anything they want be it a website, a widget, even a robot. The one caveat is that these cheeky Hack-dayers only get to work on the project, through the night, for 24 hours straight.

The competition, for those who stay awake, culminates in a 90 second Show and Tell to the judging panel who award six categories.

Everyone gets a goodie bag and we’ll be revisiting the winners over the coming weeks to check the progress of these new ideas, so check back to find out what they made and how it’s being developed.

Over the coming weeks, Hackday 09 goes global with events in our offices in Dallas, Buenos Aires and even Bangalore.
